Another session collection recorded with a retro feel. The album B Dust is based on the technical minimalism of rhythm and noise from the late 90s. Simple repetitive sequences – sometimes awkward, sometimes unexpected, sometimes heavy – murmur and rumble on drum computers, combined with analog distortion. The recipe for an album that is not aimed at large disco rooms, but rather celebrates the joy of running drum sequencers and crunchy sounds with an intimate atmosphere.
While the opener „Hokori“ (Dust) starts with calm Taiko-Samples, the following tracks come around with very unpleasant noisy loops from several machines. After a short percussive break B Dust continues with distorted sequences from tr09/tr08 and ends with a heavy tb03-pattern. No complex arrangements and programmings – monoton throbbing machines only.
The mood on B Dust reflects the daily stress of urban life and personal failure. There is an unpleasant turmoil beneath the surface; islands of calm are few and far between.
